Christmas Cheer

Popped into Taste in Dorchester following morning in-line skating session in Weymouth (don't ask - and yes, I know about Ross Noble's views that rollerblading must be the gayest thing on the planet).

And while we are considering our food options, the background music system is playing the mysterious voice that Lay Low (from the Exeter Phoenix gig last week) reminded me of. When it turned into a ubiquitous Christmas standard I asked about the previous tune at the counter, they said that it was from an obscure Christmas mix on their iPod - all they could tell me was it was called "Soon after Christmas". They also replayed for the track for me. As they we serving our meals, they dropped a note on the table - Stina Nordenstam, a Late Junction favourite artist. Its from her 1992 debut Memories of a Color released on the East West record label: (Catalogue Number: 4509907672). Check it out for some fab alternative Christmas music. Oh, and yes, it was buried deep in my pre-existing CD library.
